Julian Sterling is Atlantic Canada’s new home for long-form journalism. Our model is simple: Beginning on August 15, we’ll publish one big story every month. Ambitious, entertaining, important Atlantic stories that will stand toe-to-toe with the best magazine writing and reporting found anywhere in Canada today.

Every story you’ll read here is the work of months of research, interviewing, fact-checking, writing, editing, and re-writing, and part of our mandate is to make sure writers are well-paid for all that labour. Which means that Julian Sterling is a subscription-based site, and we hope you’ll agree that the work we produce is worth paying for.
